Follow our detailed walkthrough for the 'War Weary' quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Learn how to handle the silver, defeat enemies, and progress through the mission.
Walkthrough
- 1Enter the longhouse and approach Ivarr and Ceolbert to trigger a cutscene. Dialogue choices here do not impact the story.
- 2After the cutscene, travel to a nearby church. Mount a horse outside and follow Ivarr and Ceolbert.
- 3Interact with the church door to initiate another cutscene. Again, dialogue options have no significant story impact.
- 4At the end of the scene, you will receive 650 silver. You can give this to King Rhodri, Ynr Ap Cadfarch, Angharad, Ivarr, or Gwriad Ap Merfyn. It is recommended to speak with everyone to hear their positions for role-playing purposes.
- 5Alternatively, you can lie to Bishop Deorlaf, stating you've kept the silver for yourself. This is recommended as the silver might otherwise go to waste.
- 6Return to Bishop Deorlaf and inform him of your decision regarding the silver.
- 7After Ivarr makes his scene, you will have to fight King Rhodri's soldiers, including two Yeomen.
- 8Once the soldiers are dead, a cutscene will play. Afterward, help Ivarr through the front door of the church.
- 9Outside, engage and defeat the Briton soldiers, including two Skirmishers.
- 10Head to the river to the west, where more Briton soldiers are approaching. Some wield two-handed weapons, so be cautious of their reach.
- 11After defeating all Briton soldiers, return to Bishop Deorlaf at the church.
- 12Respond to the dialogue as you see fit; it will not significantly impact the story. The quest will complete after the final cutscene.
Tips
- When fighting enemies with two-handed weapons at the river, switch to a long-range weapon or close the distance to negate their reach advantage. Ranged attacks with a bow are also effective.
- A player comment suggests that if you give the silver to Gwriad, you can reclaim it after Ivarr disrupts the proceedings.
