Fiery Ambush

Learn how to successfully ambush Saxon soldiers on the main road, set fire pots, and follow Fulke's lead to complete the Fiery Ambush quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Alright, so after you've dealt with that guy, Fulke's gonna give you a new task: move some fire pots over to the main road. You can totally place them however you want, no pressure. Once you hear Fulke howl from the clifftop to the south, head over there. She might suggest waiting on a hanging branch, but honestly, you can chill wherever you feel comfortable. Keep an eye on the road to the southwest, that's where the soldiers will be coming from. The main goal here is to make sure every single one of them bites the dust.

When the soldiers show up, it's time to spring the trap by shooting those fire pots. If you want to get fancy and take out most of them with the fire in one go, try to shoot when they're all nice and bunched up within range of your fire pots. But hey, if you miss catching them with the fire, don't sweat it! Just jump down and finish them off yourself. As soon as you get into the fight, Fulke will join in. Once all the soldiers are down, follow her back up to the clifftop for a chat. She'll ask you about Sigurd – how you answer is totally up to you, it doesn't really change anything major in the story. After you're done talking, the quest wraps up.

Destroying Supply Carts:

After you've finished the quest, you can also destroy the supply carts nearby. Just shoot the fire pots next to them or throw a torch onto them. Doing this helps fill up the progress bar for weakening Eadwyn's forces as part of the 'Chipping Away' quest.
