Discover the Rageshaper archetype in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Learn its level progression, key abilities like Devastating Form and Terrible Slam, and how to maximize its combat potential.

The Rageshaper archetype in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous embodies nature's raw fury, sacrificing access to beast forms to gain the potent Rage ability.

Level Progression & Abilities:

The Rageshaper gains unique abilities and feats as they level up:

  • Level 0: Shifter Proficiencies
  • Level 1: Feat, Devastating Form, Terrible Slam
  • Level 2: Invulnerable Defenses, Track
  • Level 3: Feat, Woodland Grace, Terrible Slam (cold iron, magic and silver)
  • Level 7: Terrible Slam (1d6)
  • Level 10: Shifter's Fury, Devastating Form (grows two size categories, Greater Rage, Ground Slam damage 1d8)
  • Level 11: Terrible Slam (1d8)
  • Level 13: Terrible Slam (1d10)
  • Level 17: Terrible Slam (+1 crit multiplier)
  • Level 19: Terrible Slam (adamantine and universal)
  • Level 20: Devastating Form (Mighty Rage, Ground Slam damage 1d10, +4 Strength, improved natural attack)

Devastating Form

As a swift action, a Rageshaper gains one size category and enters an enraged state (similar to Barbarian Rage) for 1 minute. This form can be used a number of times per day equal to the class level, or without limit if Limitless Rage is acquired. Once per use of Devastating Form, the Rageshaper can activate Ground Slam.

Ground Slam: Deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage per class level plus 1d6 for each affected creature to all enemies within 20 feet, knocking them prone. A successful Reflex save (DC = 10 + half class level + Constitution modifier) halves damage and negates the prone effect. Ending Devastating Form results in being fatigued for 5 rounds.

Terrible Slam

At will, a Rageshaper gains two 1d4 slam attacks. These attacks deal additional damage to constructs (+5 at level 1, +10 at level 5, +15 at level 15, and +20 at level 15). This functions similarly to the Shifter Claws ability.

Invulnerable Defenses

Starting at 2nd level, while wearing no armor or light/medium nonmetal armor, the shifter gains a +2 natural armor bonus to AC and DR 2/-. At 10th level, DR increases to 5/-, then to 7/- at 15th level. At 20th level, DR becomes 10/- and the natural armor bonus increases to +4.
