You'll gain a powerful Smite ability to smite your foes, but keep in mind you won't be able to select a domain like a standard Inquisitor.

Sworn Enemy
This is a core mechanic for the Faith Hunter. When you choose your deity, you'll also pick an alignment axis that your deity opposes (Chaotic, Evil, Good, or Lawful). This chosen axis becomes your 'hated' enemy type. For example, if your deity is Erastil, who is Neutral Good, you could choose to hate Chaotic or Evil creatures. If you pick Gozreh, who is True Neutral, you can choose any of the four axes to hate.
Sworn Enemy - Smite
Starting at 6th level, you get a powerful new ability: Sworn Enemy - Smite. Once per day, you can use a swift action to smite a creature that matches your chosen hated alignment. When you do, you gain a +4 bonus to your attack rolls and a damage bonus equal to half your class level. These bonuses stick around until the enemy is dead, so make them count! You get more uses of this ability as you level up: at 10th level, and then every four levels after that, you gain an additional daily use, capping out at 4 uses per day by 18th level.
