Key Hospitaler Abilities Explained

Smite Evil

Just like a regular Paladin, you get Smite Evil. However, the Hospitaler gets fewer uses of this ability overall. You'll gain additional uses at 7th, 13th, and 19th levels, so keep that in mind when deciding when to use your smites.

Channel Positive Energy

This is a big one for support! When you Channel Positive Energy, it doesn't use up your Lay on Hands uses. Instead, you can use it a number of times per day equal to 3 plus your Charisma modifier. This gives you a reliable way to heal your party or damage undead foes.

Aura of Life

At 11th level, you become immune to death effects – pretty neat! But it gets better: allies within 10 feet of you get a +4 morale bonus on their saving throws against death effects. This can be a lifesaver in those tough encounters where enemies are trying to instantly kill your party members.

So, that's the gist of the Hospitaler! Focus on using your channeling and auras to keep your allies in the fight, and don't forget your Smite Evil for when you need to bring the pain. Have fun out there!
