Explore the Bloodrager class in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Learn about its primary attributes, HP, saves, spellcasting, Bloodrage, and level progression with detailed tables.

The Bloodrager is a martial class in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous that blends the ferocity of a Barbarian with the spellcasting of a Sorcerer. It features full Base Attack Bonus (BAB) progression, 8 HP per level, and high Fortitude saving throws, with lower Reflex and Will saves.

Primary attributes for a Bloodrager are Strength, Constitution, and Charisma. They gain caster level progression from level 4, can cast arcane spells up to 4th level spontaneously, with Charisma as the spellcasting attribute. Bloodragers receive 3 skill points per level. Their class skills include Athletics, Mobility, Knowledge (Arcana), Lore (Nature), Perception, and Persuasion.

Light and medium armor do not cause arcane spell failure for a Bloodrager. Due to the variety of bloodlines, Bloodragers can have significantly different capabilities at the same level. Careful feat selection and spell choices are recommended to avoid redundancy.

Key Abilities Explained

Bloodrage

At 1st level, a Bloodrager can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + their Constitution modifier. For each class level after 1st, they gain 2 additional rounds per day. Bloodrage is a free action. While enraged, the Bloodrager gains +2 to attack rolls, melee damage rolls, thrown weapon damage rolls, and Will saving throws, along with a -2 penalty to AC. They also gain 2 temporary HP per hit die. Ending the rage is a free action, and the Bloodrager becomes fatigued for 1 minute.

Blood Sanctuary

At 3rd level, a Bloodrager gains a +2 bonus on saving throws against spells cast by themselves or an ally.

Bloodline Feat

At 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, and 18th levels, a Bloodrager may select a bonus feat from the list available for their chosen bloodline. Prerequisites must be met for these feats (e.g., _Dodge_ requires Dexterity 13). If the Second Bloodrager Bloodline mythic ability is chosen, two feats can be selected, one from each bloodline.

Bloodline Spell

At 7th, 10th, 13th, and 16th levels, a Bloodrager receives an additional known spell from their bloodline.

Greater Bloodrage

At 11th level, the bonuses from raging increase to +3, and they gain +3 temporary HP per hit die. When entering a rage, the Bloodrager may cast a 2nd level spell or lower with "Touch" or "Self" range upon themselves as a swift action.

Tireless Bloodrage

At 17th level, the Bloodrager no longer becomes fatigued after raging.

Mighty Bloodrage

At 20th level, the bonuses from raging increase to +4, and they gain +4 temporary HP per hit die. On entering rage, they may cast a spell of any level upon themselves.

The Bloodrager shares several abilities with the Barbarian, including Fast Movement, (Improved) Uncanny Dodge, Damage Reduction, and Indomitable Will. Their proficiencies are also the same as a Barbarian's.
