Walkthrough
- 1Track the Traces Near Torchlight Beacon
- Go to the top of Torchlight Beacon, northwest of Hernand Town, by climbing walls or using the internal staircase.
- 2Open the chest on the eastern side of the tower top to get a map clue. Examine it from your inventory.
- 3Proceed to the cliffside camp in Meandering Hills, northeast of Torchlight Beacon and before the river.
- 4Equip a shovel or use the one by the log. Go to the dirt mound and use the shovel prompt to dig up the Thief's First Note. Examine it from your inventory.
- 5Track the Trail in Everfrost
- Go to the camp located in a crevice on the Everfrost mountainside, as marked on the map.
- 6Open the chest by the tent to obtain the Thief's Second Note. Examine it from your inventory to complete this objective.
- 7Track the Traces in Lioncrest Watchtower
- Focusing on the traces at Lioncrest Watchtower (southwest of Hernand Town) will complete the quest and skip the Torchlight Beacon and Everfrost steps.
- 8Burn the vines with Blinding Flash and follow the staircase to the top, or use Aerial Maneuver to climb the tower.
- 9Once at the top of the staircase, climb through the ceiling opening to reach the tower's peak.
- 10On top of the tower, find the letter and engraved wood. Examine the letter and turn over the engraved wood to examine it. Use the lantern function (L1) to focus on small objects. This completes the objective.
