Departure of the Brave Walkthrough

Follow the Departure of the Brave walkthrough for Crimson Desert's 157th main mission. Learn to defeat the shielded enemy by perfect shield parries.

Departure of the Brave is the 157th main mission in Crimson Desert, located in the Demeniss region and part of Chapter 12 – The Abyss. You must have finished the previous main quest, Deferred Advance, to begin. There are no rewards for completing this quest.

Objectives:

1. Participate in the departure ceremony
2. Wait for the signal
3. Breach the rear gate of Fort Musket

To start, enter the outpost’s courtyard and wait for Stefan Lanford to finish speaking. After a cutscene, go up the stairs and approach your comrades for another cutscene.

A battle will commence. Focus on defeating the large shielded enemy to complete the quest; smaller enemies can be ignored. The most effective strategy is to use perfectly timed shield parries ( / ) when the enemy attacks. This will interrupt their assault, allowing you to land a combo. Repeat this process. The shielded enemy has significant health and deals heavy damage, but can be defeated with approximately 10 full combos.

Upon defeating the large enemy, the screen will fade to black, and the next quest will begin.
