A Shadow in the Void Walkthrough

Guide to Crimson Desert's A Shadow in the Void mission. Solve the Monolith Crown puzzle and defeat Corrupted Caliburn to get the Twisted Verdict weapon.

A Shadow in the Void is the 159th main mission in Crimson Desert. You must head to the Abyss to pursue Caliburn. Before starting, it is recommended to have 200+ Grilled Meat and 5+ Palmer Pills.

Head to the Abyss

To reach Caliburn, you must solve the Monolith Crown abyss puzzle and use the skybridge in Crescent Skybridge.

1. Open the map, press / Mouse Wheel to open the sky map, and locate Triangle Ring in the middle of the map. Travel to Crow’s Nest.
2. From the Crow’s Nest fast travel point, go past the tree and to the right to find a skybridge. Activate it by shooting Axiom Force / TAB key at it and turning it until it glows blue. Enter the teleporter to reach Monolith Crown.
3. In Monolith Crown, perform 3 midair Force Palms (jump and / Mouse Wheel) and glide over the wind turbines. Activate the fast travel point. Make a manual save here.
4. In the back left corner of Monolith Crown, drop down to the small floating island. Look up and use Axiom Force on the glowing ring in the floating cube (hold / TAB key) to start the puzzle.
5. Solve the puzzle by moving the cube so all lasers hit one of the orange buttons on the walls. The sequence is: UP > UP > UP > LEFT > LEFT > UP (fast) > UP. Reload your save if you make a mistake.
6. When all cube lasers hit the buttons, jump back up and use a jumping Force Palm on the big cog on the floor to complete the Abyss repair and receive an artifact.
7. Follow the path behind Monolith Crown through the Skybridge, going over floating platforms until you reach the teleporter to Crescent Skybridge. Go to the east end where the two blue skybridges are marked on the map. Activate the northern skybridge.
8. Platforms will appear through the skybridge. Follow them and enter the Abyss Gate at the top, which teleports you to Dimensional Bonds.
9. In Dimensional Bonds, glide over the platforms, stick to the right side, and hit the big cog on the wall with Force Palm ( / Mouse Wheel) to activate the teleporter. Step inside to arrive where Caliburn is.
10. Interact with the big front gate to enter the boss fight. Keep a manual save and ensure your gear is upgraded, and your health stat is at least level 10. Bring 200+ Grilled Meat and 5+ Palmer Pills.

Corrupted Caliburn Boss Fight

Corrupted Caliburn is a human boss with 3 healthbars. He summons shadow copies that attack with sword slashes and stab attacks. Focus on dealing damage to Caliburn when the shadow copies are not attacking. He also uses sword slashes, floats to shoot a bow, and drops explosives. When he stands still, dodge behind him, land a heavy attack combo, and follow up with light attacks. In later phases, he spams shadow copies more frequently. Always dodge until he stands still, and heal while dealing damage. His most damaging move is a jumping sword attack.
