Follow this Crimson Desert walkthrough for Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop. Learn how to activate the generator, fix kilns, and add fuel.
Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop is the 48th main mission in Crimson Desert, found in the Hernand region during Chapter 4 – The Price of Knowledge. You must finish the previous main quest, Kilnden Workshop, to start.
Objectives:
- Activate the ancient generator
- Fix the disconnected kiln
- Fix the dismantled kiln
- Put fuel into the kiln
Activate the ancient generator
To activate the ancient generator, align the 4 glowing symbols on the tower rings. The bottom symbol is already lit. You need to align the other 3 that look the same. Use the yellow-glowing switch at the front of the tower to select which ring moves when you push the wooden lever. The bottom and top symbols are already aligned, so focus on the two middle rings.
If you haven’t interacted with the generator yet, the quickest solution is:
- Push the yellow lever all the way to the right to activate the 2nd ring.
- Push the wooden lever to the right to align the 2nd symbol.
- Push the yellow lever to the middle to activate the 3rd ring.
- Push the wooden lever to the left to align the 3rd symbol.
If you have already interacted with the tower, you can use the lever as needed or reload the last autosave to reset it.
After activating the generator, you will have 3 new puzzle objectives. It is recommended to tackle the fuel kiln first (north), then the dismantled kiln (middle), and finally the disconnected kiln (south-east).
Put fuel into the kiln
This is the northernmost objective. To put fuel in the kiln, use Axiom Force (hold / Left Stick) on the 5 blue glowing balls and push them into the round openings around the kiln. Once all balls are inserted, push the wooden lever to power it on.
Two blue balls are directly next to the kiln. The others are scattered nearby:
- Blue Ball 3: In a cave entrance within the flooded area, in the direction of the ancient generator hill.
- Blue Ball 4: In the flooded area to the left of the kiln, inside the eye of a bird-shaped statue. Aim with / Left Stick and pull it out with /.
- Blue Ball 5: On the ground in the water, in the flooded area to the left of the kiln, near the bird statue.
Potential Bug Warning: If Blue Ball 3 does not spawn, try rebooting the game or reloading an older autosave from the end of the previous quest.
Fix the dismantled kiln
This is the middle objective. To fix the dismantled kiln, use Axiom Force (hold / Left Stick) to pick up the two broken pieces and stack them on top of the kiln, one after the other. Then, climb onto the kiln, jump ( ), and use Force Palm ( / Right Stick) in midair to connect the pieces.
- Grab the first broken part (rough edges, most destroyed) to the right of the kiln and lift it over the kiln. It should automatically position itself.
- Grab the second broken part (the chimney, rough edges, more destroyed) from behind the kiln.
- Climb onto the stacked parts. Jump ( ) and use Force Palm ( / Right Stick) to connect them.
- Push the wooden lever on the side of the kiln to power it on.
Fix the disconnected kiln
This is the south-eastern objective. Behind the kiln, near the wooden lever, is a power cable. Interact with the loose cable to connect it to the kiln. Then, push the wooden lever to power it on.
After completing these steps, a short cutscene will play. Talk to the Grimnir NPC at the ancient generator to finish the quest. There are no rewards for this mission.
- Use Axiom Force (hold / Left Stick) to manipulate objects like the blue balls and broken kiln pieces.
- Force Palm ( / Right Stick) is used to connect the broken pieces of the dismantled kiln.
- If you encounter a bug with Blue Ball 3 not spawning, try rebooting the game or reloading an autosave.
