All Gun Challenges

Complete all 5 Gun Challenges in Crimson Desert as Damiane to unlock the Master of Firearms trophy. Includes When Lightning Strikes 4.

There are 5 Gun Challenges in Crimson Desert, all part of the Mastery category. Completing them all unlocks the Master of Firearms trophy & achievement. These challenges must be completed as Damiane, who can equip firearms. She is available from Chapter 3, unavailable in Chapter 5, and permanently available from Chapter 9.

Challenges Overview:

1. When Lightning Strikes 1
   How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact northwest of Left Eye Watchtower.
   Challenge: Take down 5 enemies from over 30 metres away using a gun.
   How to Complete: Kill 5 enemies from over 30 meters. Use the minimap) to check distances. Shooting the flying mechanical bugs in Delesyia is recommended.
   Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact, 1x Shred II
2. When Lightning Strikes 2
   How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact southwest of Sanctum of Renunciation.
   Challenge: Take down 3 enemies with a gun from over 5 meters away within 5 seconds.
   How to Complete: Defeat 3 enemies from over 5 meters away within 5 seconds. This is easily done against the mechanical bugs in Delesyia using Focused Shot (a skill that allows you to mark multiple targets).
   Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact, 1x Insight II
3. When Lightning Strikes 3
   How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact northeast of Saltroad Trading Post.
   Challenge: Hit the target three times within one second using a pistol.
   How to Complete: Use Focused Shot to mark the same enemy 3 or more times, then release it to fire rapidly.
   Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact, 1x Swift I
4. When Lightning Strikes 4
   How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact south of Tariv in Demeniss.
   Challenge: Hit 7 mounted enemies with a gun while riding a horse.
   How to Complete: This requires hitting enemies mounted on horses. Attack friendly NPCs to make them hostile. Thornbriar Fortress in southern Demeniss is a good location in Chapter 9. Ride up to friendly NPCs and swing your melee weapon near them to provoke them. Once they are hostile and showing a red dot on the minimap, shoot them off their horses. This can be done over time, but paying off your bounty at a Church after completing it is easiest.
   Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact, 1x Faded Abyss Artifact, 1x Aptitude I
5. When Lightning Strikes 5
   How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact northwest of Ruined Chapel in Hernand.
   Challenge: Take down 3 enemies each with regular, Evasive or Focused Evasive, and aerial shots.
   How to Complete: Defeat 3 enemies with normal shots, 3 with Evasive or Focused Evasive shots, and 3 with aerial shots. Aerial shots count as any shot fired while in the air; use Focused Shot while airborne to mark enemies easily.
   Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact
