How to Complete the Investigate the Suspicious Toys Quest during Act 3 in BG3

Follow our guide to complete the Investigate the Suspicious Toys quest in Baldur's Gate 3 Act 3. Learn how to start the quest, find the toys, and confront Arfur Gregorio.

Walkthrough:

1. Start the Quest: Find Arfur outside his mansion in Rivington. Use the Detect Thoughts spell (DC 10 Intelligence check) to learn he's hiding something in his basement.
2. Investigate Arfur's Basement: Enter his mansion, go through the back door, and find the basement hatch (Perception check or use the key from the Rosewood Desk upstairs). The basement is trapped, so disarm them carefully. Find a Heavy Chest containing a Blackmail letter addressed to Arfur.
3. Confront Arfur and Fight Mercenaries: Return to Arfur and confront him with the letter. He will call his hired mercenaries. Defeat the four mercenaries (Fighter, Barbarian, Mage, Bard). Focus on the Mage and Bard first, then the melee enemies. Keep your party healed.
4. Find the Suspicious Toys: After the fight, Arfur will have escaped. Head to the Requisition Barn southeast of the mansion. Persuade Manip Nestor (DC 10 Charisma check) to let you in. Find a trapped crate of toys in the northern corner on the first floor (DC 20 Dexterity check to disarm).
5. Confront Arfur Again: Return to Arfur's Mansion. Talk to Arfur and tell him about the explosive toys. He will try to bribe you. Refuse his bribe and use Intimidation (DC 15 Charisma check) to get information about the Fireworks Shop in the Lower City, mentioning that Uncle Felogyr sent you.
6. Investigate Felogyr's Fireworks: Travel to the Lower City (completing the Investigate the Murders quest is one way to get there). Find Felogyr's Fireworks in the southwest. Talk to Avery Sonshal and mention Uncle Felogyr to gain access to a reinforced metal door. Go upstairs and speak to Clerk Tamara to purchase
