Baldur's Gate 3 features a variety of classes and subclasses, with some mechanics homebrewed from the 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. Multiclassing is also available with fewer restrictions than in 5E, allowing for unique character builds and powerful combos.

Here is a list of all the Baldur’s Gate 3 Classes and Subclasses available:

  • Barbarian: Berserker, Wildheart, Wild Magic
  • Bard: Lore, Swords, Valor
  • Cleric: Knowledge, Life, Light, Nature, Tempest, Trickery, War
  • Druid: Land, Moon, Spores
  • Fighter: Battle Master, Champion, Eldritch Knight

Baldur’s Gate 3 Multiclassing Explained

Larian has removed Ability Score checks for multiclassing, offering more freedom. Players can combine base classes with other classes' spells or subclass passives without worrying about racial builds or ability score modifiers. This allows for creative combinations, such as a Warlock gaining the Champion's Action Surge for an extra Eldritch Blast per turn, or a Sorcerer multiclassing into Thief Rogue to gain an extra bonus action for Quickened Spell Metamagic.
