Learn how to solve the chair puzzle and open the secret door in the Toll House basement in Baldur's Gate 3. Find traps, loot, and the Greataxe +1.
Walkthrough
- 1Descend into the Toll House basement via the Ornate Wood Hatch. Loot all containers for ingots, potions, gold, and gemstones.
- 2Use the Toll Collector’s Key to open the east door. Be aware of vents on the ground which are traps. You can spot them without a Perception check (DC 15), and avoid or disarm them (Sleight of Hand DC 10).
- 3Proceed through a gate to the north into another room. Deal with any traps present.
- 4Locate two chairs to the west and a suspicious section of wall.
- 5Sit on both chairs. This will cause the wall to the west to lower, granting access to the secure storage section of the basement. If you don't have two party members available, you can place vases on the chairs to trigger the mechanism.
- 6Once the wall is lowered, disarm three more traps: two vents and a linear trap (Perception DC 10, Sleight of Hand DC 10).
- 7Loot the secure room. You will find various weapons, potions, and gold. Notable items include a Greataxe +1 on a weapon rack, gold and a gem in a Gilded Chest, two gems in a Traveler’s Chest, and Gloves of Heroism in a Wooden Chest.
