The Elixir of Hill Giant Strength is a highly sought-after consumable in Baldur's Gate 3 that temporarily boosts the drinker's Strength score to 21 until a long rest. This makes it invaluable for characters relying on strength-based attacks, offering a significant damage boost during challenging encounters. If your character's Strength is already 21 or higher, the elixir will have no effect and will not lower your score.

The most reliable way to acquire these elixirs is by purchasing them from specific vendors. Auntie Ethel, an old woman found in the Druid Grove near the start of the game, sells one elixir per day for approximately 70 gold. She can be found in a trader tent below Wyll's platform, opposite Dammon's blacksmith stall. Be aware that Auntie Ethel will leave the Druid Grove if you save it from the goblins or travel south towards the swamp region. You can also find her on the road south of the Blighted Village; after defending her from attackers, she will relocate to her house in the Sunlit Wetlands. Her house can be identified by steps leading up into it. After speaking with her and avoiding aggression, you can trade with her. She typically stocks 3 Elixirs of Hill Giant Strength, with prices around 230 gold at a neutral disposition.

Another vendor is Derryth Bonecloak, a dwarf located in the Myconid Colony in the Underdark, at the northernmost point of the camp. She also sells one elixir per long rest. Additionally, there's a chance to find these elixirs in the Toll House in Act 1, especially before dealing with the Tyr Paladins and Karlach. It's possible to accumulate around 14 elixirs by level 3 through vendors.
