Discover if you can save Arabella's parents in Baldur's Gate 3, where to find them, and the heartbreaking outcome of this Act 2 quest.

Hey there! So, you've met little Arabella again in Act 2, right? The same tiefling kid you might have helped back in the Druid Grove. She's gotten a bit more powerful, keeping some nasty Shadows away with a spell, but she's all alone and needs your help finding her parents. She'll chill at your camp while you go on the search.

You'll find her hanging out just outside the gates leading to the graveyard area, west of the Masons Guild. She'll explain her parents are missing and ask you to find them.

Where to Find Arabella’s Parents

Arabella's parents are in a grim spot: the Hospital area within the House of Healing. Head inside through the main entrance, go down the hallway, and look for a smaller door on your right. Inside that room, you'll see beds and some creepy toys. Unfortunately, you'll find a nurse tending to two dead bodies – these are Arabella's parents, Komira and her husband.

If you have Speak with Dead, you can chat with the father. He'll reveal that someone named Kevlor betrayed them, and they were abandoned while seeking shelter. They were also killed by the nurses working at the House of Healing. If you search Komira's body, you can snag an amulet called Komira's Locket, which lets you cast the Dancing Light cantrip.

Can You Save Arabella’s Parents?

This is the tough part: no, you cannot save Arabella's parents. It's not a timed event, so rushing to the House of Healing won't change their fate. No matter what, when you get there, they'll always be found dead in the Hospital section.

Quest Reward and Outcome

After you've seen the grim reality, head back to your camp and talk to Arabella. You'll have to break the news about her parents. She'll be devastated, and honestly, there's no immediate resolution. You'll need to take a Long Rest before you can talk to her again.

When you do, you'll find that Withers, the skeletal fellow, has decided Arabella's magic is too strong to ignore. He believes she needs to venture out into the world to find her own path, guided by the Weave. It sounds a bit scary sending a kid out alone, but she seems ready for it and pretty content with the idea.

As a reward for seeing this quest through, you'll get the ring Shadow Blade. This ring lets you cast the level 2 illusion spell, Shadow Blade, which is pretty neat!
