Alright, so you've got a quest from Mystic Carrion and need to track down his servant, Thrumbo. Don't worry, it's not too far from his mansion. Here's how to find him:

First things first, after you accept Mystic Carrion's quest, you'll need to head out of Philgrave Mansion. Make your way east along the beach. Keep following it until you spot a small pier with some fishermen and a pagoda where a couple of shady characters are hanging out. As you get close to the dock, you'll likely have to deal with some rather unpleasant foes – the text calls them 'Fish Fucks,' so be prepared for a fight!

Once that's sorted, look for a small wooden building. You should see a 'Hatch' icon for it on your minimap. Head up the stairs to the building. Just a heads-up, the game might consider this 'breaking and entering,' so be aware of the local fishermen potentially reporting you before you go inside.

Inside the building, head straight for the wardrobe. When you interact with it, Thrumbo will come running out! Now you can talk to him and decide what you want to do next regarding Mystic Carrion's quest. You've found Thrumbo, so the choice is yours: do you help Mystic Carrion by dealing with Thrumbo, or do you spare him?

If you decide to kill Thrumbo, you can report back to Mystic Carrion to complete his quest and potentially get his help later. However, if you choose to spare Thrumbo and return to Mystic Carrion, he'll know you didn't finish the job. This will trigger a fight against him, along with a bunch of mummies and his ghoul. If you end up fighting Mystic Carrion, you'll need to destroy some weird item locations in an Ancient Lair, which is located in the western part of the Undercity. You can get there via a passageway near the Penitent Vendor, close to the Undercity fast travel point.

Should you defeat Mystic Carrion, Thrumbo will actually take his place as the city's undead servant for all things related to the afterlife. It's a pretty significant choice!

Keep in mind that your decision about Thrumbo can also affect the 'Free The Artist' quest, which is located in the Lady's Manor on the west side of the Lower City, not too far from the Baldur's Gate Waypoint. So, think carefully about what you want to do when you find him!
