Pine Patch

There are two ways to reach the Pine Patch:

• Success at Ancient Tomb: If you succeed at all stages of the Illustrated Book episode after exiting the Ancient Tomb, you will arrive at the Pine Patch immediately.

Failure at Ancient Tomb: If you do not succeed, return to Oleg’s Trading Post and speak with Kesten. He will provide directions to the Pine Patch. The directions are: South, Southeast, West, South, South, South to reach the Ancient Tomb, then South, South, Southeast.

Upon arrival at the Pine Patch, head north to find Tartuccio deceiving a group of Kobolds.

Regardless of your dialogue choices, Tartuccio will flee, leaving Kobolds behind to distract you. Defeat the Kobolds.

Do not chase Tartuccio; instead, loot the area.

Southwestern Corner: Pass a [Perception 7] check to find a hidden chest containing ten bottles of Port.

Northwestern Corner: Pass a [Perception 6] check to find an Ancient Rostlandic Coin.

Southeastern Corner: Find another Ancient Rostlandic Coin near some boulders.

Northeastern Corner: Find a chest containing ten bottles of Port at the edge of the area.

Campsite: Loot two sacks near where Tartuccio performed for food and the Recipe: Haggis.

After looting, you can leave the area. If you wish to pursue Tartuccio, he can be found at the Old Sycamore. However, it is recommended to instead travel to Thorn Ford to focus on the Stag Lord, as the Old Sycamore is a challenging area.
