Kobold Camp

Learn how to navigate the Kobold Camp in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Get tips on interacting with the kobolds, passing checks, and looting the area.

Alright, so you've made your way to the Kobold Camp. It's a bit of an unusual spot because, surprisingly, the kobolds here are actually pretty chill! They're led by an elder who'll try to communicate that they're looking for their king, Tartuk, and they want to be friends. Just don't go for the full Chaotic Evil handshake, and you'll get a chance to pass a pretty important Wisdom check, DC 15.

If you mess up that Wisdom check, don't sweat it too much – one of your companions, like Octavia, might be able to step in and help explain. If no one can bridge the gap, you'll have to wrap up the conversation, one way or another.

Assuming you nail that Wisdom check, or get a little help, you'll be faced with a bunch of choices on how to handle the situation. Going with the Neutral Good option will just spook them a bit before you loop back to the dialogue. However, if you choose any of the Neutral options, or even Chaotic Good or Chaotic Neutral, the kobolds will pack up and leave. The good news is you'll still get some experience for your trouble!

Once the kobolds have cleared out, it's prime time to do some looting. You'll find a crate and a cask in the main clearing that'll give you some Rope, Camping Supplies and Rations, a scroll, and some food. Keep an eye out for a hidden chest to the northwest – you'll need a Perception check of DC 20 to spot it, but it's worth it for a Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds. The last bit of loot worth grabbing is a Token of the Dryad, which is chilling in a stump over in the southwestern part of the map. Grab whatever you fancy, and then it's time to move on.
