Follow this Pathfinder: Kingmaker guide to complete the Elederian Pearls quest. Start by talking to a refugee, recover a stolen pearl necklace from a Goblin Prince, and return it.
Walkthrough
- 1Speak to a distressed Refugee north of the Bridge Over the Gudrin River. Ask what troubles her to learn about her stolen pearl necklace. Choose the dialogue option "Describe this forest monster." to initiate the Elederian Pearls quest, requiring a successful Knowledge (World) 18 check.
- 2Track down the thief by heading north from your current location, then east past some rocks. You will find a Goblin Prince.
- 3Engage the Goblin Prince. Ask him "Are you alone here?" to learn about other goblins searching for a "greatbeast."
- 4Inquire about the stolen beads he is wearing. You can obtain the Pearl Necklace through several methods:
- Choose the [Neutral Good] dialogue option and forfeit 1 unit of Camping Supplies and Rations.
- 5Pass a [Bluff 20] check.
- 6Pass an [Intimidate 22] check ([Neutral Evil]).
- 7Pass an [Intimidate 22] check without asking about the beads to scare him off.
- 8If you pass a [Lore (Religion) 18] check, a dialogue option will become available to resolve the situation peacefully.
- 9If all else fails, you can defeat the Goblin Prince in combat and take the Pearl Necklace.
- 10Return to the Refugee (now referred to as the Fugitive Girl) with the Pearl Necklace. You have several options:
- Choose the [Chaotic Evil] response to keep the pearls for yourself. This will botch the quest, and you can sell the necklace for 2 gold.
- 11Choose the [Diplomacy 28] response to convince her to stay in your lands. This grants Community +1 and Loyalty +1 bonuses.
- 12Choose the [Lawful Good] dialogue option to hand over the pearls. The woman will express distress about the bandits on the bridge.
- 13Follow up with a [Neutral Good] option to give her money. This costs 200 GP but grants Loyalty +1.
Tips
- Passing dialogue checks with the Goblin Prince yields more XP and has alignment consequences compared to fighting him.
- Keeping the pearls for yourself offers minimal benefit in terms of experience or wealth.
- For convincing the woman to stay: 960 XP, Community +1, Loyalty +1.
- For giving back the pearls: 600 XP.
- For giving the woman money: Loyalty +1.
