Swamp Witch's Hut

Start on the northern edge of the map and follow the path south. Encounter and defeat three Dire Boars.

Head northwest off the road to find a pack of Worgs, including a Ferocious Worg. Defeat them.

Continue northwest to find a corpse containing a Scroll of Cure Moderate Wounds, a Potion of Cure Light Wounds, and a Scroll of Acid Arrow.

Return to the road and follow it south until a small branch veers east. Follow this to a pass leading northeast.

Proceed northeast, ignoring disembodied voices. Keep your TAB button ready to identify and harvest Mudleaf plants. Save before harvesting, as it requires a Knowledge (Nature) 27 check. Obtain at least three Mudleaf for an upcoming quest.

Continue northeast until the path opens to a stream. Search the western edge of the stream and pass a Perception 18 check to find a locked chest (Trickery 20). Inside are a Potion of Cure Light Wounds, a Scroll of Cure Serious Wounds, a Scroll of Cure Moderate Wounds, a Potion of Enlarge Person, and another Scroll of Cure Serious Wounds.

Follow the stream east to find the Satyr Falchos and the Dryad Tiressia.

Engage in dialogue. Choose the options “What happened to the village?”, then “A girl from the village married a dryad?” to unlock future dialogue.

To start the Gnarled Branches quest, choose the dialogue option “What were you arguing about?”.

If you choose the Neutral Evil option, Falchos will attempt to charm you (Will DC 26). If you fail, you'll be forced to help them and transported to the Scythe-Tree for combat. If you succeed, Falchos will attack.

Alternatively, you can convince Falchos to abandon Tiressia with a Diplomacy 20 check (Chaotic Neutral). Tiressia will then give you 500 GP.

To start the Gnarled Branches quest, you can either demand a reward (“Maybe I could help… depending on what you’re offering” followed by “Fine, I will help you.”) or choose the Lawful Good option.

Continue east from Falchos and Tiressia to find lootable foliage. Pass a Perception 0 check to find a Narlbarb, which sells for around 70 GP.

Follow the edge of the scrub southeast to a spot where you can attempt an Athletics 26 check. This leads to an Owlbear den with three Greater Enraged Owlbears.
