Follow our Pathfinder: Kingmaker guide to complete the Runaway Throne quest. Investigate the stolen throne, track down the thief, and reclaim your royal seat.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
After returning from the Rushlight Tournament, Linzi will inform you that your throne has been stolen.
  2. 2
Leave the throne room and speak with Hyland, who is located on the eastern side of the building. He will tell you that the throne animated and ran away on its own.
  3. 3
Travel southwest to the merchant stalls and speak with Verdel. He will mention that the thief used magical portals.
  4. 4
Speak with Hassuf, who will state that stolen items in the city are rarely recovered.
  5. 5
Go to the tavern and speak with Elina. She has overheard information suggesting the thief is magically adept and can bypass physical barriers, stealing both valuables and seemingly random junk.
  6. 6
You will need to wait for the stolen items to appear on the black market. This means wandering around the overworld map until you trigger a random encounter.
  7. 7
Eventually, you should find a Goblin Merchant on the side of the road selling various wares, including your throne.
  8. 8
Choose the dialogue option “Hey, this is my throne!”.
  9. 9
You can then ask how the goblin acquired it. The best way to recover your throne and other stolen items is to attack the goblin or succeed at an [Intimidate 20] check. This will scare the goblin into returning your property.
  10. 10
Alternatively, you can attempt a [Diplomacy 18] check to convince the goblin to sell it to you. If you succeed, the price will be 200 GP. If you choose not to use Diplomacy or fail the check, you can buy the throne back for 100 GP.
