Complete all Nibel Region simulations in final fantasy vii rebirth, including Odin, Death's Harbingers, Cthonian Rhondo, and Stony Stare.

Odin Simulation

Odin is the most difficult opponent in this section of final fantasy vii rebirth, known for his long-range attacks and the instant-kill move, Zantetsuken. To avoid Zantetsuken, you must dodge Odin's attacks. Failing to do so will result in a loss. Odin cannot be pressured on your own; you must dodge and use ATB-fueled moves until he uses Sleipnir's Furor, which buffs him but also leads to him being pressured, creating an opportunity to stagger him. Aerith is recommended for healing, and Red XIII can help with dodging. Revival Materia is advised, and be wary of Odin's counter-attack, Reprisal, which has no tell-tale signs. Odin is weak to Deprotect, Defaith, Deshell, and Debrave, making Disempowerment Materia and Enervation Materia helpful. Practice dodging Zantetsuken to make the fight easier. Completing this simulation unlocks the Odin Materia.

Nibel Battle Intel: Death’s Harbingers

To unlock the three-round simulation Death’s Harbingers, you must defeat Pyretail and Carnifex. This simulation features common enemies, with a focus on Pyretail and Carnifex. Pyretail can be pressured using fire magic when it covers itself in blue flames; a Fire Materia is recommended. Carnifex can be pressured using Ice magic. Completing Death’s Harbingers rewards you with the VIT-to-SPR Materia.

Nibel Battle Intel: Cthonian Rhondo

Cthonian Rhondo is a three-round simulation unlocked after defeating Marquis Valron and Suevite Disgorgon. Marquis Valron can be pressured using Ice magic; equip an Ice Materia to exploit this weakness. Suevite Disgorgon can petrify your party with mist. To pressure it, wait for the mist attack and target its mouth. Cloud’s Braver can break it easily, leading to pressure. Esuna, granted by the Cleansing Materia, can cure petrification. Completing Cthonian Rhondo rewards you with the AP Up Materia.

Nibel Region Intel: Level 1

To unlock Level 1 Intel for the Nibel region, you must defeat 20 enemies in the region. Some enemies are only accessible in Chapter 12. This is a five-round battle against various Nibel Region enemies. Equip a variety of magic types to exploit enemy weaknesses. Aerith is recommended if you are losing too much health. Completing Level 1 Nibel Region Intel rewards you with the two-star Time Materia.

Nibel Region Intel: Level 2

To unlock Level 2 Nibel Intel, you must find and defeat 24 enemies in the Nibel Region and complete Level 1. Some enemies are only found in Chapter 12. This is a ten-round battle that requires a more strategic approach than Level 1, but is still manageable with healing. Completing Level 2 Nibel Region Intel rewards you with the two-star Revival Materia.

Biological Intel: Stony Stare

To unlock Stony Stare, you must defeat the Cosmo Canyon special enemy, the Jabberwock, have assessed 16 enemies in the Nibel Region, and possess a five-star Enemy Skill Materia. This simulation requires you to beat the Jabberwock within three minutes. Pressure the Jabberwock using Fire magic when it summons its Gorgon Shield. Use ATB Charges to build synergy while waiting to pressure the Jabberwock. Filling a limit bar for at least two party members and having synergy attacks ready can significantly damage the Jabberwock when staggered. Completing Stony Stare unlocks the Enemy Skill Gorgon Shield.
