Learn how to get the Genji Gear in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This guide details acquiring the Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip by defeating Gilgamesh and crafting powerful accessories.
Walkthrough
- 1Complete Protorelic World Intel: Find and complete all Protorelic world Intel missions in the Grasslands, Junon, Corel, Gongaga, Cosmo Canyon, and Nibel Regions.
- 2Obtain All Summon Materia: Acquire all summon materia from Chadley’s Combat Simulator. These include Titan (Grasslands), Phoenix (Junon), Alexander (Corel), Kujata (Gongaga), Bahamut Arisen (Cosmo Canyon), and Odin (Nibel). If you struggle with these fights, complete the Divine Intel in each region to make them easier.
- 3Unlock Gilgamesh Island: After obtaining all Protorelics and summon materia, a new Phenomenon Intel will appear, leading you to Gilgamesh Island in the Meridian Sea. You can reach it via the Tiny Bronco in Chapter 13.
- 4Challenge Gilgamesh: On Gilgamesh Island, you must first defeat all the summons again, this time facing two at a time. Once victorious, you can challenge Gilgamesh himself.
- 5Acquire Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip: Defeating Gilgamesh rewards you with the Gilgamesh Materia and the Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip.
- 6Craft Genji Gear: With the Transmuter Chip, you can now craft Genji's Earrings, Genji Gloves, and Genji Ring.
Crafting Materials:
- Pirate Jetsam: Acquire these by roaming the Meridian Sea with the Corsair's Compass. You may need to find specific relics to craft the compass itself.
Genji Gear Effects:
- Genji's Earrings: Increases damage dealt by 15% and increases damage taken by 15%. Best used by confident players skilled at guarding and dodging.
- Genji Gloves: Allows the wearer to break the 9,999 damage limit. Ideal for high-damage characters like Tifa.
- Genji Ring: Reduces damage taken by 15% but also reduces damage dealt by 15%. Useful in specific situations where avoiding attacks is difficult.
