Alright, let's dive into the Musclehead Colosseum's Two-Person Bouts! These are a bit different from the solo challenges, so pay attention to your partner and the enemy weaknesses. We'll break down each Easy Ranked bout so you can snag those rewards without too much sweat.

Two-Person Bout: The Zoomies

This is your first taste of the two-person challenges, and the first round can be a bit of a surprise. You'll face four Lavalisks and four Velociwings. The Lavalisks are tough and will counter after a few hits, using moves like Flame Whorl or Feverish Rush. The Velociwings are faster but easier to take down, though their Charge can mess with your flow.

Strategy: Focus on the Velociwings first since they're quicker to defeat. Lavalisks are weak to ice, and Velociwings are weak to wind. So, blast the Velociwings with wind attacks, then switch your focus to the Lavalisks. Cloud's Triple Slash is great here because it hits multiple enemies early on. For the second round, you'll fight two J-Unit Sweepers. They're much less of a hassle. Just hit them with Thunder magic to pressure them, and they'll go down fast.

Two-Person Bout: Devil-May-Care Desperados

After the first bout, this one feels like a breeze. The first round pits you against eight Bandits. You'll encounter two types: the basic ones that go down easily, and slightly sturdier ones with hair. Don't worry too much, though, as they're all weak to fire. Load up on fire magic to make short work of them.

The second round is just one White Mousse. These guys resist physical attacks. Normally, you'd use elemental spells, but they become resistant to that element afterward. However, Barret's Bonus Rounds and Red XIII's Stardust Ray are incredibly effective here. Both Barret and Red XIII are also solid choices for the first round against the Bandits.

Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators

This one's a significant difficulty spike, so you might want to hold off until you're a bit further into the game. The first round throws Junon Flametroopers and Daemonic Entities at you. The Flametroopers will constantly pressure you with flamethrowers, and the Daemonic Entities can stun you with their Howl. If you can get behind the Daemonic Entities, they'll flinch, but Blizzard spells are the quickest way to pressure them since they're weak to ice. For the Flametroopers, use fire magic or attack from behind.

The second round is against Quetzalcoatl. You might know this boss, but don't get complacent! With only two characters, it can still pack a punch. Exploit its weakness to ice to pressure it and hopefully stagger it. Be extra careful when it uses Electrify, as that signals its more powerful aerial attacks are coming.

Two-Person Bout: Ghoulish Delights

For the first round, you'll face Crawlers and Grasslands Wolves. The wolves have a spinning attack; blocking it will pressure them, making them easy to handle. The second round is where it gets tricky with a Mindflayer.

Mindflayer Strategy: Watch out for Astral Apprehension, which spawns lightning bolts – back away when you see it. Also, Eldritch Horror and Sinister Seizure are unblockable, so be ready to dodge. The biggest danger is when it uses Telekinesis to drop boulders; its next attack, Psychotic Break, deals massive damage, so hide behind those boulders! The Mindflayer doesn't have specific elemental weaknesses, but you can pressure it using Synergy Abilities. Your best bet is to spam Synergy Abilities to keep it pressured, but remember that using the same one repeatedly costs more synergy. Mix it up and keep using normal abilities and spells to build synergy back up.
