    After gaining control of Cait Sith in Shinra Manor, equip him, Barret, and Aerith.

    Head into the Shinra Manor and proceed to the elevator.

    At the bottom, enter the room to trigger a scene and arrive at the Mako Research Facility.

    Roll through the air duct and defeat the Bahba Velamyu.

    Summon your Moogle (Up on D-Pad) to help with puzzles.

    To free Barret and Aerith, stand on the flashing switch to spawn a crate. Pick it up (L2), aim (R1), and throw it (Square) at the flashing red panel to the right of the cell door.

    Find mako accelerant boxes and pick up the Barrier Materia.

    To power the spinning device, pick up mako accelerant boxes and throw them into the red bowl as it spins near you. This needs to be done twice to open the way to the next elevator.

    Take the elevator to a large room with enemies, a resting spot, and a chest containing 1,700 Gil.

    Access the next console. The generator is upstairs, so Cait Sith will go solo again.
