From Whence Life Flows Quest Walkthrough

Accept the quest from the noticeboard in Cosmo Canyon towards the end of Chapter 10.

Fast travel to the Cosmo Observatory and speak with Bugenhagen.

Track down and survey five lifesprings around Cosmo Canyon.

Lifespring Location #1: Head northeast of the Dried Oasis Tower. Interact with the locked wooden gate; Bugenhagen will open it.

Lifespring Location #2: Travel southeast of the Crimson Earth Tower. Fast travel to Phenomenon Intel 1: Avalanche HQ, go up the stairs to the right. Defeat four Skeeskees. Dodge their Fury Bomber attack to pressure them, then use Focused Strike or Focused Thrust to stagger. Use strong attacks like Infinity’s End (Cloud) or Maximum Fury (Barret). If hit by Fury status, play defensively as damage taken increases by 50%.

Lifespring Location #3: Head west from Phenomenon Intel 1: Avalanche HQ. Defeat three Sahagin by exploiting their elemental weakness with Aerith’s Blizzaga.

Lifespring Location #4: Travel northeast of the Gliding Range Tower. Defeat two Sahagin (use Blizzaga) and one Griffon. Use lightning spells from a distance against the Griffon until it pressures itself, then stagger with Cloud. If caught by its restrain attack, keep attacking the Griffon to prevent HP depletion.

Lifespring Location #5: Head southeast of the Highland Moogle Intel. This requires using Gliding Ranges: use No. 6 (61m), then No. 11 (72m), go up stairs, use No. 13 (88m) to cross a gap, then No. 6 (61m) again and go up the hill. Defeat three Threadspinner Chimeras by focusing on one at a time and using ice-based spells from a distance. Spam Spellbound Blast Synergy Skill (Aerith + Yuffie) to build ATB quickly if needed.
