Unlock and master Fort Condor Hard Mode in final fantasy vii rebirth. Learn strategies for all four stages, including unit limits and boss tactics.
Walkthrough
- 1Stage 1: Use Cloud and Tifa with Safeguard - Defense Focused ally units. Place Ballistas near your Outposts to weaken incoming enemy units, especially Sweepers. Deploy two Ballistas on the right lane initially, as enemies often push there first, and summon an Elite Enforcer in front of one, followed by a regular Enforcer. Summon a Ballista on the left lane when ATB is available. Counter enemy types with advantageous units. Avoid deploying Hero Units too early; save them for emergency situations or the boss. Clerics should be saved for the final rush on the boss. Key challenges include multiple enemy types deployed consecutively around the two-minute mark on the left and the halfway mark on the right.
- 2Stage 2: Use the same unit layout as Stage 1. Be aware that the opponent will deploy units in the 'Other' category, which are not affected by the weapon triangle. The right lane will receive a barrage of units at the start, including two Attack-types, two Ranged, and a Defender, followed by a wolf-type enemy. Deploy two Ballistas on the right, one behind the other, or start with an Elite Enforcer for backup. Once the right lane is clear, focus on the left lane with Elite Vanguards and Tifa. Save Cloud for when he is truly needed, as Tifa and Vanguards may defeat the boss alone.
- 3Stage 3: Use the same unit layout. The battle starts with a Warlord and Grenadier on the right lane, and an E. Shock Trooper on the left. Summon a Vanguard on the right and a Ballista on the left initially. Once ATB is sufficient, place another Ballista on the right. Wolf-type enemies are easily dealt with by Ballistas and Outposts. The main challenge is the boss, who summons additional units and uses a cannon when you approach his side of the board. When the boss is low on health, he uses 'Death Throes', a powerful area-of-effect attack.
- 4Stage 4: The same unit layout from Stage 1 is recommended for all Hard Mode battles.
Tips
- The same unit loadout (Cloud and Tifa with Safeguard - Defense Focused) can be used for all four Hard Mode stages.
- Avoid deploying Hero Units early in Stage 1; save them for critical moments or the final boss push.
- Save Clerics until the end of Stage 1 for the boss rush.
- Wolf-type enemies in Stages 2 and 3 are not a significant threat to Outposts and are quickly dispatched by Ballistas.
- The boss in Stage 3 summons additional units and uses a cannon, making him a significant threat.
- 'Death Throes' is a powerful move used by the Stage 3 boss when his health is low.
- Hard Mode features tougher and more numerous enemy units compared to Normal Mode.
- A key difference in Hard Mode is the limited quantity of all units, including basic troops, unlike Normal Mode where basic troops could be spammed.
