Walkthrough

    Near the end of Chapter 11, after returning to Nibelheim post-Mako Research Facility, head to Cloud's old home to find the singing chef. She has lost her cat and asks for your help. She suggests starting your search at the foot of Mt. Nibel and gives you cat food.

    Take the northeastern exit out of Nibelheim and head east. Continue east-northeast until you hear a noise.

    Chase after the noise, defeating any normal regional enemies you encounter.

    Follow the map marker to find the cat and some kittens.

    After the scene with the cats, four Guard Bees will appear. Protect the lead cat, which has a health bar. The Guard Bees are weak to fire.

    After defeating the Guard Bees, chase after the lead cat again. You will encounter another group of bees; use fire to defeat them.

    The final group of enemies includes the Queen Bee, which is stronger than the Guard Bees. Focus on the Queen Bee as it will continuously summon more Guard Bees. The Queen Bee is also weak to fire, and using fire will pressure it.

    Be aware of the Queen Bee's 'Poison Sting' attack, which can poison your characters.

    If the Queen Bee uses 'Hive Assemblage,' it will create a shield that increases its defense and magic defense.

    Upon defeating the Queen Bee and its minions, escort the kittens back to Nibelheim. Move slowly, keeping the R2 button released and the left analog stick not fully tilted, to ensure the kittens stay with you.

  • The Guard Bees and the Queen Bee are weak to fire.
