To even get to the good stuff, you'll first need to find some of the Seventh Infantry units scattered around Junon. You technically only need five, but hunting down all ten gets you the 7th, Assemble! trophy and better bonuses for the parade itself. Definitely worth the effort if you're aiming for that Platinum!

Once you've got at least five units (ten is ideal!), head to the end of Junon's main street and chat with the commander. Select the option to Adjust drill team formation. This is where you pick your squad. You'll have access to:

• Security Officers x5 (these are your basic, default units)
• Flametroopers x1
• Riot Troopers x2
• Grenadiers x2

The Flametroopers, Riot Troopers, and Grenadiers are considered advanced units. Using them unlocks more challenging formations, which means more button prompts and tap-and-hold sequences. The core gameplay loop is the same though: a light mote moves around the screen, passing through button prompts. Your goal is to hit the indicated button just as the light mote enters the ring around it. A perfect press gets you a "Great" result, a slightly mistimed one gets you a "Good", and completely missing or hitting the wrong button results in a "Bad". More complex formations mean more chances to score points, so don't shy away from them!

Pro Tip: Putting units of the same type next to each other gives you a "formation bonus," which helps offset the increased difficulty.

Unlocking the 'Stealing the Show' Trophy

Now, for the juicy part: how to actually get the trophy. To unlock Stealing the Show, you absolutely must use the Flametroopers, Riot Troopers, and Grenadiers. For maximum points and that crucial "Formation Bonus" of 2, arrange them like this: place the two Riot Trooper units side-by-side, the two Grenadier units side-by-side, and the Flametrooper right in the middle. This setup, combined with the tougher "Ramuh," "Shiva," and "Bahamut" formations, gives you the best shot at hitting the required score.

Even with a perfect performance using only Security Officers, you won't rack up enough points for the trophy. The minigame progresses through three phases, one for each formation. After each phase, you'll be graded. Your ultimate goal is to finish with over 100,000 upvotes and fewer than 6,000 downvotes.
