Back to business: chat with the Shinentai dude to the west. He'll mention that the other survivor from the hospital headed south. You'll need to go west first to get there, though. Another Shinentai nearby is babbling about a 'Hito-Shura' who's planning to build a new world from this whole Vortex mess. Interesting, huh?
