Asakusa in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster is divided into sections requiring world map travel. Its monster population changes.

Asakusa is divided into several unconnected sections. To travel between these areas, you must exit to the world map and re-enter other sections. The north half of Asakusa, including its treasures, is not immediately accessible upon first arrival.

Similar to Ginza, Asakusa is an area where the monster population changes over the course of the game. The demons encountered initially are the default enemies; later, tougher, higher-level monsters will join the roster.

Asakusa is considered by some to be the best "home base" location in the entire game. All shops are easily accessible, and there are no enemy encounters directly in front of them, allowing for safe movement. This is particularly useful for performing Sacrifice fusions in front of the Jakyo Manor without being attacked until a full moon.

Tips
  • Be aware that Asakusa's demon roster evolves, introducing stronger enemies later in the game.
  • Utilize the safe zones in front of shops for strategic planning or fusion without interruption.
  • Remember to use the world map to navigate between the disconnected parts of Asakusa.
