BOSS #3: KISHIN THOR

Stats / Weaknesses:

• HP: 2000
• MP: 3000
• Affinity: Reflects Electricity and Hama, Immune to Curse, Nerve, and Mind, Strong to Magic
• Skills: Mahajio, Jionga, Mahajionga, Jiodain, Diarama, De-Kaja, De-Kunda

Phases:

1. Thor's main threat comes from his powerful lightning spells, like Mahajionga, and his ability to attack twice per turn. There are no specific phases, but managing his Press Turns is key.

Strategy:

• Thor is notorious for being a tough early-game boss, especially since you can't equip any Magatama to resist his lightning at this point. His double attack can quickly overwhelm you if you're not prepared.
• The absolute best counter is bringing a demon that reflects or absorbs electricity. If you fused Takeminakata as recommended earlier, he's perfect for this fight. His electricity reflection won't damage Thor, but it will consume Thor's Press Turns, preventing him from getting his second attack.
• Seiju Shisa is another excellent choice. He absorbs Electricity, which means he takes no damage from Thor's lightning and also negates his Press Turn. If Seiju Shisa is a few levels higher, he might even have Battle Cry, which can reduce Thor's attack power, though he might only have enough MP for one use.
• While your electricity-nullifying demon is busy reflecting or absorbing Thor's attacks, focus all your offensive power on him. Use your strongest skills and physical attacks.
• Don't rely too heavily on buffing or debuffing spells. Thor has De-Kaja and De-Kunda, meaning he can easily remove any stat boosts you apply to yourself or debuffs you inflict on him, effectively wasting your MP and turns.
• Make sure you have a reliable healer in your party. Even with Takeminakata or Seiju Shisa handling Thor's lightning, you'll still take damage from his other attacks and potentially from the reflected spells if your demon isn't absorbing them.
