Learn how to earn Clan Titles through Trials and control areas via Auctions in Final Fantasy Tactics. Auctions unlock after the 'Now That's a Fire' mission.

Clan Titles: Your most recent clan trial success determines your Clan Title, which is primarily for bragging rights. There are several categories of trials, each with two tiers (I and II), offering different titles upon completion.

• Adaptibility I: Scouts, Observers, Surveyors, Imitators, Mimics
• Adaptibility II: Contrivers, Survivalists, Trailblazers, Executors, Master Improvisers
• Aptitude I: Grease Monkeys, Apprentices, Machinists, Technicians, Dab Hands
• Aptitude II: Craftsman, Smiths, Wrights, Artisans, Master Artificers
• General Training I: Novices, Trainees, Journeymen, Professionals, Veterans
• General Training II: Adepts, Braves, Heroes, Legends, Master Adventurers
• Negotiation I: Hagglers, Intermediaries, Barterers, Brokers, Orators
• Negotiation II: Mediators, Counsilors, Conciliators, Arbiters, Master Negotiators
• Teamwork I: Acquaintances, Associates, Relations, Confidantes, Old Friends
• Teamwork II: Comrades, Cohorts, Boon Companions, Countrymen, Master Allies
• Mixed Trials (Adaptibility-Negotiation): Followers, Compromisers, Outriders, Catalysts, Master Intercessors

Clan Auctions: Auctions are the method for controlling areas, replacing the battle and dispatch system from previous games. You must head to different auction houses to bid for territories.

Benefits of Area Control:

• A rival clan will appear, providing significant Clan points and good gil upon defeat.
• Quest fees at the pub are lowered.
• Item costs at the shop are reduced.
• Loot and items sold at the shop receive a bonus, increasing your gil.
• You receive bonuses from glad citizens in the controlled region.

Unlocking Auctions: Auctions are unlocked after the storyline mission "Now That's a Fire" becomes available. Initially, you can only access auction houses in Graszton, Camoa, and Moorabella. After completing the "Grounded!" mission, auction houses in Fluorgis and Goug become accessible.

Auction Season: The first month of every year is auction season, giving you 20 days to visit all five auction houses and bid. An efficient route is recommended, such as Graszton, Camoa, Moorabella, Fluorgis, and then Goug, or variations thereof. Note that travel between Fluorgis and Moorabella requires an airship lift costing 300 gil.

Auction Mechanics:

• An entry fee of 20 Clan Points (CP) is required to enter an auction house during auction season.
• Each auction house controls a different number of areas (most have 4, some have 3) and has varying speeds and token limits.
• Auctions proceed in turns where you decide which token type to bid.
• The clan with the most coins on the screen at the end of the auction wins.
• In case of a tie, the reigning champion wins. If not, the result is generally random but may skew in your favor.
• There is a limit of 30 coins that can be bid. The first clan to exceed this limit wins the auction.
• The reigning champion starts the auction with one coin already on the board, giving them a bonus.
