Alright, so you've been tasked with helping out Yew at the Chocobo Ranch. He's got a bit of a situation – he spent all his Gil on the ranch itself and now can't afford to buy any chocobos. Sounds like a classic Final Fantasy Tactics problem, right? He needs you to go out and catch some wild ones for him. We'll cover the Yellow Chocobo request first, then the Black Chocobo, and even a tricky mission called 'Hors D'oeuvre of the Hour'.

Rancher's Request - Yellow Chocobo

Yew needs a Yellow Chocobo. This is a Rank 21 mission that will cost you 400 Gil to accept and takes 20 days to complete. The reward is 180 Gil, 3 Spiral Vines, and 3 Kempas. You'll need 1 member in your party, and the destination is Targ Wood. You'll also gain 42 Clan Points.

Your Mission Objective: Deliver a Yellow Chocobo to Yew!

Here's the trick: you need a Chocobo Knight in your party. When you encounter a wild Yellow Chocobo and get its HP down to critical, you need to move your Chocobo Knight right next to it and use the 'Mount' command. It's pretty straightforward once you have the right unit type.

Pro-Tip: If you're having trouble finding a Yellow Chocobo in the wild, the 'Teamwork II' Clan Trial is your best bet. You're pretty much guaranteed to fight yellow chocobos there, making it way easier to get one weakened and mounted.

Rancher's Request - Black Chocobo

Next up, Yew needs a Black Chocobo. This is a Rank 25 mission, also costing 400 Gil and taking 20 days. The reward is a much better 1750 Gil and 2 Kuraisle Boxwoods. You'll need 1 party member, and the destination is Targ Woods. You'll snag 50 Clan Points for this one.

Your Mission Objective: Deliver a Black Chocobo to Yew!

For this mission, the best place to find a Black Chocobo is during the 'One-Eyed Evil' encounter. You can find this in the Galerria Deep area. Head there, find the encounter, and work on getting that Black Chocobo weakened so you can mount it.

Hors D'oeuvre of the Hour

This is a Rank 41 mission from Grosso of the Culinary Crusade. It'll cost you 500 Gil and take 20 days. The reward is a hefty 3980 Gil and 2 Ancient Turtle Shells. You'll need 6 party members, and the destination is The Bisga Greenland. This mission grants a whopping 82 Clan Points.

Talents Required: Negotiation: 39, Adaptability: 39

Your Mission Objective: Uphold the Law and Defeat all Foes!

Law Forbidden: Fire

This battle can be a real pain, mainly because of the 'Defeat all Foes' objective combined with the 'Fire' law. If you accidentally use any Fire-based attacks, you'll fail the mission. To avoid this, stick to Wind Magick users and Hunters. Seriously, double-check your abilities before you go in!

You'll be facing four Malboros: three regular Green Stinky Malboros and a Malboro King, the 'Lord of Stench'. These guys are nasty and can inflict some serious status ailments. Make sure you have a White Mage or someone with 'Esuna' ready to cure those debuffs, or they'll absolutely ruin your day.
