Walkthrough

    Begin by seizing all four strongholds on the map. It is recommended to start with the southern ones and leave the northernmost stronghold for last.

    During the battle, enemy reinforcements will appear, and a Citizen will ask you to defeat 300 enemies, triggering the side mission. You must defeat an additional 300 enemies from the moment this side mission appears. It is best to not get too close to the Base Captains to encourage more enemy spawns.

    After capturing all strongholds, the enemy commander, Pallardo, will appear in the north. If you followed the advice, you should be near him. Otherwise, travel to Pallardo and defeat him. He is a sword-user, so avoid using characters with axes.

    Upon defeating Pallardo, the battle will conclude.
Tips
  • Carefully select your units, as some, like Edelgard with an axe, will be at a disadvantage against certain enemy units. Choose units that have an advantage against the enemy forces.
  • You will control a total of four units for the entirety of the battle.
  • Completing the side mission to defeat 300 enemies will contribute significantly to the 500 kills needed for the S Rank. Once you have enough kills, you can focus on the main objectives.
  • Pallardo has a bit of extra health and defenses but should fall like most other officers.

After the battle, you will experience a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) with Hubert and Edelgard. When presented with the second choice, select Accept the truth of Hubert’s words to gain extra Support Points with Hubert. You will then return to the War Map to collect rewards from Surveying Spots.
