What Are Surveying Spots in Three Hopes?

Hey there! So, you've probably noticed a bunch of little icons scattered across the war map in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, right? Besides the main and side quests, you'll see things like keeps, houses, swamps, and towers. These are called Surveying Spots, and they're super handy once you know how to use them.

Once you've cleared out a region by finishing its Side Quest battle, you get to explore all the Surveying Spots within it. Usually, it's as simple as selecting the spot and grabbing whatever goodies it offers. These can be anything from materials to upgrade your facilities, ores for crafting weapons, actual weapons, or even just some extra gold. But sometimes, you'll find even better stuff like Battalions, accessories, permanent stat boosts, skill upgrades, morale increases, Seals, or extra Training and Activity Points. Seriously, it's always worth checking these out after you've secured a region.

We actually think it's a good idea to clear all the Side Quests in most chapters just for the Surveying Spot rewards. Yeah, you might lose a tiny bit of Renown compared to just rushing the Main Quest, but the stuff you get from the battles and the spots themselves usually makes up for it.

Now, not all Surveying Spots are available right away. Some have extra requirements you'll need to meet before you can access them. This could mean getting an S-Rank on the region's Side Quest battle, racking up a certain number of KOs during the chapter, or even having a character with a specific class. Keep an eye on these requirements! The good news is you can replay Side Quest battles as many times as you need to get that S-Rank. Just remember, once you finish the chapter, you can't go back for any missed Surveying Spots, so try to grab them while you can.

Oh, and one more cool thing: sometimes you might find Extra Battles or even Anna herself showing up as a Surveying Spot! If that happens, you'll get a choice to interact with them or the Surveying Spot itself. Pretty neat, huh?
