A Special Secret

Discover the special secret in Super Mario 64! Collect all 120 stars to unlock Yoshi on the roof and gain a sparkling Triple Jump, plus 100 lives.

Alright, so you've gone and collected every single one of the 120 Power Stars in Super Mario 64? That's awesome! Now, here's the really cool part: there's a special secret waiting for you. Head back outside the main castle doors, right into the lobby area. You know that cannon that used to have a metal grate blocking it? Well, with all 120 stars in your collection, that grate will be gone, and the cannon will be open!

Go ahead and hop into that cannon. It's going to launch you straight onto the castle roof. If you've truly earned all the stars, you'll find someone waiting for you up there.

What You'll Find on the Roof:

• It's Yoshi! He's chilling up there all by himself.
• Chat with Yoshi, and he's going to give you two fantastic rewards for completing the game 100%.
• First, you'll get a whopping 100 extra lives. That's a lot of chances to explore!
• Second, your Triple Jump gets a major upgrade. Instead of the usual jump, the third jump will now make Mario release some sparkles and transform into a ball. It looks super cool!

Heads Up on the New Triple Jump:

• While the sparkly Triple Jump looks amazing, keep in mind it does change things a bit. You'll lose the ability to Wall Jump during that special third jump. So, it's a bit of a trade-off – a cool new move, but a slight change to your platforming options.
