Episode 8: Yoshi's Fruit Adventure

Access Ricco Harbor's Episode 8 via the Rainbow M on the Boathouse in Delfino Plaza after obtaining 3 Shines and defeating the Polluted Piranha.

To hatch Yoshi, first locate his egg. Use a sewer entrance and resurface at the end of the main street.

The Yoshi egg requires a Durian. Use a sewer exit to reach higher rooftops, then use the Hover Nozzle to reach the brick towers marked "*Fruits".

Ground Pound the towers until a Durian appears. Kick the Durian to the Yoshi egg to hatch it.

Note that Yoshi dislikes water and will run off if he touches it.

While on Yoshi, you can spray Juice. Spraying enemies (like fish) creates platforms. Yoshi can jump higher and further than Mario.

Head to the edge of the square near the arrow sign. Wait for fish to rise from the water and use Yoshi's Juice to create a platform.

Leap onto the fish platform and wait for it to move closer to the next platform. Jump over.

Repeat this process to reach the next platform. Look behind you to spot a cliff with a tree containing a Coconut.

Have Yoshi eat the Coconut. This changes his Juice to Pink, allowing him to create vertically moving platforms from fish.

Return to the previous platform and spray a fish to create a platform that takes you higher.

Repeat this until you reach the tower housing the Shine Sprite.

Use Yoshi's Juice one final time to remove the Orange Juice (this step seems to be a slight contradiction in the source text, as the previous step mentioned changing juice to pink. The intent is likely to use the juice to clear obstacles or create the final platform).

Hop off Yoshi using the Y button (away from edges) and climb the tower to claim the Shine Sprite.
