    Arrive on the starting planet and enter the orange warp pipe on the underside of the planet (accessible via bridges).

    In the warp pipe area, use the ramps to walk on walls and reach the ceiling. Collect musical notes for a 1-up mushroom if desired. Use the other orange warp pipe to reach the roof and the Launch Star.

    Use the Launch Star to travel to a tropical planet. Free the trapped Purple Toad by spinning the crystal. He will advise using coconuts to defeat thorny flowers.

    Roll coconuts towards the thorny flowers and spin attack them to fling the coconuts. Defeat each flower to reveal a Sling Star.

    Use the Sling Star to travel to the next planet and face a Big Pokey.

    Spin a coconut at the Big Pokey, then quickly run and jump on its head to defeat it. A Launch Star will appear.

    Use the Launch Star to travel to a planet with two Chain Chomps. Immediately use the Launch Star in front of you to proceed.

    You will land on the underside of a planet with electric wires and Chomps. Avoid hazards to reach the top surface.

    Climb to the top of the military tank, break the crystal, and use the revealed Launch Star to travel to the Battleships.

    On the first Battleship, free the trapped Green Toad. He will instruct you to spin attack coconuts fired by Octopus enemies back at them.

    Hit both Octopi with their own coconuts to lower the bridge. Cross to the other Battleship, climb to the deck with the shipwheel, and use the Launch Star to reach King Kaliente.

    King Kaliente Boss Battle: King Kaliente spits burning coconuts and normal coconuts. Avoid the burning ones. Spin attack the normal coconuts and hit King Kaliente with three of them to defeat him and earn the Power Star.

  • Spin attack the coconuts to fling them back at the Octopi on the Battleship.
  • Do not spin attack the burning coconuts King Kaliente throws; dodge them instead.
  • Focus on spinning normal coconuts back at King Kaliente.
