This guide details how to obtain the 'Mario Wings to the Sky' Power Star in Bob-Omb Battlefield within Super Mario 64, as part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. There are two methods: an easier way utilizing the Wing Cap and a harder way without it.

The Easier Way:

This method requires unlocking the Wing Cap, which is achieved by collecting at least 10 Power Stars. Once unlocked, enter the Wing Cap course by looking into the sunlight in the main foyer hub. Activate the switch on the platform to make red blocks solid. Return to Bob-Omb Battlefield and head to the floating island. A red block there will spawn a Wing Cap. Use the cannon quickly, as there is a timer. Aim for the central coin in the first ring of coins. Release the analog stick, and after passing the third coin ring, pull down on the stick to fly upwards. Aim to pass through the fourth ring and then reach the higher final ring. If you miss, return to the floating island to try again. Once all five triggers are collected, the Power Star will appear by the four wooden poles.

The Harder Way:

This method does not require the Wing Cap and can be done on your first visit to Bob-Omb Battlefield. It involves using the cannon three times with well-lined shots. Shoot to the floating island and enter the cannon. For the furthest ring, do not touch the analog stick after the cannon automatically aims. Aiming at the middle coin of the first ring will hit the first three triggers. For the fourth coin ring, aim the reticule so its bottom blip is on the top coin of the first ring. If successful, you will hit all markers and obtain the Power Star without the Wing Cap.
