As soon as you start, move forward and use a Long Jump (ground pound then jump) to clear the gap ahead. You'll land near an arch.

Once you've dealt with the smaller Bullies, you'll have a choice of paths. For this star, head to the left and cross the bridge that starts to retract as you walk on it.

You'll see a Mr. I – you can ignore him if you want to save some time. Continue on to the platform that has its edges dipping into the lava.

Next up is a sliding puzzle featuring Bowser's face. This is where the Red Coins are usually found, but we don't need them for this star. Just get through it quickly to avoid falling into the lava.

After the puzzle, you'll face two more regular Bullies. Take them out the same way you did before.

You'll then come to a rotating platform with Fire Bars spinning around it. Move past this quickly!

Cross the next sinking walkway, and you'll finally reach a large platform where the Big Bully awaits.

Strategy for the Big Bully: This guy is just a larger version of the Bullies you've already fought. The best move here is the jumping kick. You can do this by pressing the jump and attack buttons almost simultaneously. Be careful, though – if you press the attack button first, especially while running, Mario will do a dive instead, which you want to avoid. Keep attacking and knocking the Big Bully towards the edge of the platform.

Once you manage to knock the Big Bully into the lava, the star will appear on a nearby ledge.

You'll see some steps leading up to the star. Use them quickly, but be aware that they will fall away once Mario steps on them and won't respawn. Grab the star before the platform crumbles too much!

Tips

The jumping kick is your best friend against all Bullies, big and small. Practice it until you're comfortable.
Don't linger on the retracting or sinking platforms – move with purpose!
