Alright, let's dive into Jolly Roger Bay and snag all eight Red Coins on the Ship Afloat! It's a good idea to tackle this star while you're going for the 100 Coins Star, since you'll be grabbing all these Red Coins anyway. The good news is that all of them are in the starting area, though you'll definitely need to do some swimming.

When you first start the level, hop into the water and keep an eye out for those Clams in the shallower parts. One of the Clams chilling near the central structure holds Red Coin #1. Another Clam nearby has a Koopa shell inside – you can grab it with an attack button, but it vanishes pretty quickly.

Next, head over to where the wooden plank is floating between the two platforms along the right wall. You'll find the second Clam there, which contains Red Coin #2. After that, swim towards the ledge overlooking the deep end of the water. The Clam waiting there has Red Coin #3. For the last underwater coin, dive deep into the water; at the very bottom, you'll find the Clam holding Red Coin #4.

Now, let's get out of the water and look for a lone spire near the platform where the Bob-Omb Buddy hangs out. Climb all the way to the top of this spire to find Red Coin #5. Keep going past the Bob-Omb Buddy and onto the platform with the switch – this will get you onto the ship. You'll find Red Coin #6 floating in the air right where you board the ship. Finally, head to the opposite end of the ship to snag Red Coin #7 and Red Coin #8. The Power Star will pop up right there with the last two coins!
