Comet Star: Lava Spire Daredevil Run

Start near a large lava lake. Navigate past li'l cinders and fire jets to reach sinking platforms across the lava. Collect star bits for extra lives.

Cross the lava lake using sinking platforms, but don't stand on them too long. On the other side, go up steps, past fire jets, and wall jump up a concrete block. Ground pound it to reveal another wall jumping structure. Ascend this structure, then head right to a sling star towards the volcano.

Take the second sling star near the volcano, then the Launch Star to reach new planets.

Before landing on the lava ball, spin in the sling star to jump onto the glass planet. Jump to the highest glass planet to reach pull stars. Carefully use pull stars to navigate through fiery lava planets, avoiding fireballs spit out by orbs. Use the final pull stars to enter a Launch Star.

Take the Sling Star from the small metal mound to a lava-covered area. Collect five Star Launcher Chips while avoiding li'l cinders and fire jets. A Star Launcher will spawn after collecting all chips.

Use the Star Launcher to reach the next area. Quickly move across sinking stone platforms to the base of the spire. A cutscene will trigger, showing the spire beginning to fall. You have a limited time to reach the top.

Head right and long jump to move faster. Avoid boulders as you ascend the sinking spire.

Reach a concrete block and ground pound it. Quickly jump to the platform on the right as the block will fall into the lava, revealing a wall jumping structure. Wall jump up this structure before the lava catches you.

Run up and left, dodging li'l cinders and crystals. Jump to the top level and spin attack the Power Star crystal twice to release the Power Star. Grab the star to finish the level.
