Catching Solgaleo or Lunala

In Pokémon Ultra Sun, you will encounter Solgaleo, the Sunne Pokémon, at Level 60. It is a Psychic/Steel-type with high HP and Attack. Its moves include Sunsteel Strike, Zen Headbutt, Crunch, and Cosmic Power. Its Ability negates stat lowering.

In Pokémon Ultra Moon, you will encounter Lunala, the Moone Pokémon, at Level 60. It is a Psychic/Ghost-type with high HP and Special Attack. Its moves include Moongeist Beam, Shadow Ball, Night Daze, and Cosmic Power. Its Ability weakens damage when at full HP.

When facing Solgaleo, Dark-types are recommended for inflicting damage, and Steel-types can resist its STAB attacks. Paralyzing Solgaleo is extremely useful as its stats cannot be lowered.

When facing Lunala, Dark-types are ideal for resisting its attacks, but be careful as their attacks do 4x damage. Lunala's Shadow Shield ability should prevent a one-hit KO, but be aware that the first hit you land will be significantly weaker.

Legendary Pokémon hit very hard. Bulky Pokémon or Pokémon that resist their STAB moves are essential.

Ensure you have a large supply of Poké Balls, especially Ultra Balls, as catching Legendary Pokémon can take many attempts.

Weaken the Legendary Pokémon to low HP.

Begin throwing Poké Balls, like Ultra Balls, to catch it.

Both Solgaleo and Lunala do not have access to healing moves.

If necessary, use Battle Items like Roto Boost to increase your Pokémon’s stats, or Roto Catch if you have one.
