Explore Route 8 in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Find Pokémon encounters, items like Max Repel and TM43 Flame Charge, and battle trainers.

Route 8 is an oceanside route stretching across the northern breadth of Akala Island. It serves as a transition area after the Wela Volcano Park trial and before the Lush Jungle trial.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Head north from the start of the route towards the signpost.
  2. 2
Past the signpost, go down a slope. To the left is a ledge exit, and to the northeast is a bubbling fishing spot. Search the grassy mound near the water's edge for a hidden Max Repel.
  3. 3
Return up the slope. East of this area is an Aether Foundation trailer.
  4. 4
To the left of the trailer, an employee cares for a Vulpix. If you rescued a Vulpix in Paniola Town, it will appear here. You can give it a Big Malasada and return the next day to check on it.
  5. 5
Head west from the trailer. You will be stopped by Colress, who first appeared in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
  6. 6
Colress will give you TM43 Flame Charge, which boosts Fire-types' Speed after dealing damage.
  7. 7
After Colress leaves, retrieve Totem Sticker #039 from the bottom-left corner of the Aether Foundation trailer.
  8. 8
To the trailer's right is a hidden spot. Enter the tall grass next to the trailer.
  9. 9
North of the tall grass, a narrow path leads east. Follow it to encounter a trainer walking in a circle. Past her, you will find a Big Pearl. You can then leap over the ledge to return to the main road.
  10. 10
Back on the main road, continue west from the Aether trailer. Past the tall grass, a female Pokémon trainer stands next to a grassy mound. She will battle you after you defeat other trainers on Route 8.
  11. 11
Further west, a male trainer stands on higher ground. To avoid his battle, step into the tall grass to his right and climb the short slope to walk behind him on higher ground.
  12. 12
Past the male trainer (Rising Star Mikey), find a Hyper Potion on lower ground to his left.
  13. 13
If you snuck behind Mikey, descend the short slope west to return to the main road. After collecting the potion, go south across the road. In a patch of tall grass, find a hidden Miracle Seed.
  14. 14
West of Mikey on the main road, a female trainer is on higher ground. Search the corner to her right for a hidden Adrenaline Orb.
