Nanu's Grand Trial

After completing all other trials on Ula'ula Island, you will receive an unexpected visit from Nanu outside the ferry terminal in Malie City. He is here to conduct your Grand Trial.

Your team will be fully healed for this battle.

Battle Nanu, the Island Kahuna. His Pokémon are: Sableye (Level 43, Dark/Ghost), Krokorok (Level 43, Ground/Dark), and Alolan Persian (Level 44, Dark).

Nanu's Pokémon are primarily Dark-type. Include Fighting, Bug, and/or Fairy-type Pokémon in your squad. Consider giving Fightium Z and Buginium Z to your strongest Pokémon.

Nanu's Sableye (Level 43): Weak only to Fairy-type attacks. It can use Fake Out (guaranteed flinch on first turn), Shadow Ball, and Power Gem. Neutral Pokémon can defeat it. Foresight can allow Fighting-types to hit it super-effectively.

Nanu's Krokorok (Level 43): Weak to Water, Grass, Ice, Bug, Fighting, and Fairy. It has the Intimidate Ability (lowers Attack) and can use Earthquake, Crunch, Assurance, and Swagger.

Nanu's Alolan Persian (Level 44): Resists Dark-type attacks (Fighting and Fairy are recommended). It has the Fur Coat Ability (halves physical damage), and can use Fake Out, Power Gem, and Dark Pulse. It holds the Dark-type Z-Crystal. A special tank can survive its Z-Move.
