Explore Route 5 (North) in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Find hidden items like PP Up and Nugget, battle trainers like Youngster Caleb, Ace Trainer Alexis, and Hiker Gabriel, and collect TM59 Brutal Swing.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the Route 8 entrance, head east towards Lush Jungle. Before entering, explore south onto a rocky highland. Search the eastern corner of the rock for a hidden PP Up.
  2. 2
Continue south along the highland until you reach a directional signpost. To the west of the small den is a ledge. Jump over the ledge, then immediately stop as there's another ledge below.
  3. 3
Going south from the second ledge returns you to the bottom half of Route 5. Instead, go west from the top of the first ledge. A trainer, Youngster Caleb, patrols a rocky mound. He has a Level 20 Charjabug.
  4. 4
Past Caleb, look for two dens along the wall above the rocky mound. The right den contains a wild Pokémon. The left den has a hidden Nugget.
  5. 5
Continue past the mound towards the Route 5 Pokémon Center. From the corner, head north through the tall grass.
  6. 6
On the other side, go south-west behind the Pokémon Center. At the end of this path, you'll find Ace Trainer Alexis. She has a Level 22 Goomy and a Level 23 Sylveon. Grab the Hyper Potion near her feet.
  7. 7
Return to the tip of the tall grass near the Pokémon Center and head north-east towards the rocky highland. You'll encounter Hiker Gabriel, who has a Level 22 Makuhita and a Level 22 Mudbray.
  8. 8
Past Hiker Gabriel, a small slope leads up to a rocky mound. Go east around the mound from its north face and pick up the Full Heal by the edge.
  9. 9
Return to the west side of the mound. Head directly south and follow the narrow, curved path to the end to find TM59 Brutal Swing.
  10. 10
Leap over the ledge to the east of the rocky mound and head north to return to the Lush Jungle entrance.
Tips
  • The cliffside grass patch has a 30% chance of encountering Fomantis, 20% for Grubbin and Trumbeak, 10% for Caterpie and Bonsly, 9% for Metapod, and 1% for Butterfree.
  • Diglett (Alolan) can be found in rustling spots (100%), and Crabrawler under berry trees (100%).
  • Sudowoodo and Happiny can be encountered via SOS battles with Bonsly.
  • Youngster Caleb's Charjabug is weak to Fire and Rock.
  • Ace Trainer Alexis's Goomy is weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Sylveon is weak to Poison and Steel. Fire-types are effective against Sylveon.
  • Hiker Gabriel's Makuhita is weak to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy. Mudbray is weak to Water, Grass, and Ice.
