    First, you'll battle Captain Ilima. His team consists of Gumshoos (Level 60), Smeargle (Level 60), and Komala (Level 60). Fighting-types are recommended.

    After defeating him, you'll receive the inspiration for his Left-handed Battle Style and an Everstone.

    Later, Ilima will ask for a favor. He gives you Ilima’s Normalium Z.

    Fly to Verdant Cavern using Charizard and head to the Totem’s Den.

    Place Ilima’s Normalium Z into the pedestal.

    You will then face a Totem Pokémon. In Ultra Sun, it's Gumshoos (Level 60) with Normal typing. In Ultra Moon, it's Alolan Raticate (Level 60) with Normal/Dark typing. Both have their stats boosted at the start of the battle.

    Defeat the Totem Pokémon to receive a Trial Guide Outfit.
