Follow our walkthrough for Route 2 (North) in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, detailing Pokémon encounters, trainer battles, and item locations.
Walkthrough
- 1From the entrance to the Berry Fields, follow the dirt path north-east.
- 2You will encounter mysterious visitors who will disappear before you can catch them.
- 3At the end of the dirt path, you can choose to enter the tall grass or head directly north-east to avoid it.
- 4To the north-east, near an inaccessible grassy mound, find a secret Stardust on the south-east side.
- 5Continue north, keeping to the west to avoid another patch of tall grass and a trainer.
- 6Battle Lass Isabella, who uses a Level 9 Fairy-type Flabébé. Steel and Poison-type moves are most effective.
- 7After the battle, pick up the Super Potion behind Isabella.
- 8Follow the short grass west to return to the main path. Hau will appear and invite you to the Pokémon Center.
- 9Hau will prompt you to try the Roto Loto on the bottom screen to receive a Rotom Power.
- 10At the Pokémon Center, the Poké Mart clerk on the right sells special Poké Balls and battle items.
- 11Speak to the tourist lady between the café and the nurse; if you show her the Pokédex entry for Crabrawler, she will give you 3,000 Poké Dollars.
- 12Exit the Pokémon Center and go around its west side to find Totem Sticker #017.
- 13Head down the steps to the dirt path and follow it towards the barricade. You can go through the tall grass to the left or around it from above.
- 14Inspect the berry stack on the other side for berries and potentially a wild Crabrawler.
- 15Return to the Pokémon Center steps and follow the path south to the first patch of tall grass.
- 16To the left of the tall grass, find a gap in the fence. Sneak through and follow the trail south and west, overlooking the sea.
- 17At the far end, near a tall palm tree, find a Revive.
- 18Drop down the ledge to the right. A few paces south, you will encounter a trainer. Alternatively, to avoid this battle, do not jump over the ledge and go backwards.
- 19Battle Pokémon Breeder Jay, who uses a Level 10 Rock-type Rockruff. Water, Grass, Fighting, and Steel-type moves are effective.
- 20South from Jay is the gap in the fence. Return to the area outside the Pokémon Center to heal and stock up.
- 21Follow the path leading north-east to challenge the first trial of Melemele Island with Ilima.
